Tucked away between the main coastal road to Cape Town and the ocean, this tranquil beach cottage is barely three steps away from the soft golden sand of Clifton 4th Beach. Relax to the soothing sound of surf and seagulls while a cool sea breeze stirs the warm ethers and carries the salty tang of the Atlantic Ocean into the open plan lounge of this quaint 3-bedroom cottage. Two sliding doors give a view of sand, surf and sea, and lead onto a wooden deck with a table and ten chairs for alfresco meals with friends or family in the shade of the rustic trellis or the two sun umbrellas provided, and a Jacuzzi allows for spontaneous dips in warm bubbles to go with that bottle of bubbly.

The air-conditioned lounge has shabby chic décor, sleek, pale wood floors and a comfy cloth sofa plus two chairs on which to watch DSTV or DVD while sipping one of the Cape’s award-winning wines. The 4-seat dining table is the perfect spot for a romantic candlelight dinner while admiring one of the Cape’s stunning sunsets over the sea, or to enjoy a refreshing luncheon, close the blinds and banish the sun. The kitchen has all the mod cons to make light work of unavoidable chores, including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and cooker. The white-tiled guest bathroom off the lounge has a bath, separate toilet and washing machine, and a tiny backyard provides drying space for washing.

The bedrooms are down a short flight of stairs, and the first bedroom has cool white décor, a double bed and loads of built-in cupboard space. Opposite it is a bathroom with a glass cubicle shower, basin and toilet, tiled in white. The second bedroom boasts a warm cream colour scheme and lots of built-in cupboards. Relax on the double bed and enjoy the view of breakers on the beach through the glass sliding door, or close the blinds for a cool sanctuary from the sun. The master bedroom also has cool pale décor, a double bed and sliding doors that give access to a lush, postage stamp-sized garden whose gate leads directly onto the beach, and the two sun loungers on the patio provide a place to soak up the sun. The en-suite white-tiled bathroom boasts a sizeable corner bath, basin and toilet.

The cottage has an alarm system to ensure the safety of possessions left behind during beach outings or dips in the ocean, as well as a safe for valuables. Parking is on-street, and the secluded location guarantees a restful holiday on the beach, while there is a host of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues just a short drive away in Cape Town or Camps Bay.

Also let us know of any particular requirements such as cots and high chairs for infants. We can also happily pre-stock your apartment with food and drinks on your behalf. If you will be celebrating a special occasion during your stay such as a birthday, anniversary or honeymoon, please let us know so that we can make that extra effort on your special day.

Arrival and Departure
Check-in time is between 14h00 and 18h00 unless otherwise arranged. Check-out time is before 11h00 on the day of departure. We try to accommodate other arrival and departure times, so if you have any special requests please let us know. Please contact 45 minutes prior to your arrival at the property on +27 21 438 6440 during office hours, or on +27 84 804 9902 after hours. Please be aware that there is an after-hours arrival charge of R300 for any arrivals between 19h00 and 7h00.

Passports
South African immigration laws require all visitors' passports to have at least two blank pages and to be valid at least six months from your planned date of departure from South Africa. The law is rigorously enforced so please check your passports without delay!

Cancellations
Bookings cancelled more than 90 days prior to arrival date pay a 10% cancellation fee.
Bookings cancelled between 90 and 61 days of arrival date pay a 25% cancellation fee.
Bookings cancelled between 60 and 31 days of arrival date pay a 50% cancellation fee.
Bookings cancelled less than 30 days from arrival date pay a 100% cancellation fee.

Refunds and waiver of cancellation policies are at the discretion of management and their ability to relet the room. We advise all clients to take out cancellation insurance.

All changes to bookings once confirmed, including moving from one property to another, or amending dates, are deemed to be cancellation of the first booking, and applicable fees must be charged.

Terms and Conditions

No binding contract is in force until such time as a rental deposit has been made, and the rental manager has vetted and accepted the payment and guest information, and communicated such to the client.
